Junction Upgrade

Published: 12 September 2020

The works currently being undertaken by Bradford Council at the New Line/Greengates junction will move into the next phase shortly.

On Sunday (18th Oct) works will begin to make the transition to a new 4 way, temporary traffic light system to manage traffic safely through the works.

It is likely that this will come into full operation after the morning peak on Monday morning.

This will remain in place until early next year.

Given the highly traffic sensitive nature of this junction it is expected that the disruption will be significant and that queuing traffic will extend over into the Leeds border through Apperley Lane.

Leeds City Council has been assured by Bradford Council that their Traffic Control Team will be monitoring the junction at all times to make sure that the traffic queues are being managed as efficiently as possible.
